The short version: kuriova.com sets no cookies, has no accounts and no forms, and does not sell or share personal information. This page explains the little that is collected and why.
Who we are
Kuriova makes documentaries and publishes them on channels such as Kuriova Science. In this policy “Kuriova”, “we” and “us” mean Kuriova. Questions go to hello@kuriova.com.
This website
- Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It uses no cookies, no local storage and no fingerprinting, and it reports totals such as page views, referring sites, countries and browser types. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
- Video thumbnails. Thumbnails of our latest videos load from YouTube’s image servers, which receive your IP address as part of the request. See Google’s privacy policy.
If you write to hello@kuriova.com, we use your name, address and message only to reply and to handle what you asked about, such as a sponsorship or licensing request. We keep the conversation for as long as it is useful for that purpose and for our business records, and we delete it on request unless the law requires us to keep it.
Our channels on other platforms
When you watch, follow or comment on Kuriova on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or X, that platform’s own privacy policy applies. We see only what those platforms show every channel owner, such as public comments and total audience figures.
Kuriova Ops and Google user data
Kuriova Ops is our internal tool for reporting on Kuriova’s own YouTube channels. It is used only by Kuriova, and it connects only to Google accounts that Kuriova owns. It does not access the Google account of any viewer or other person.
- What it accesses. Through the YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API and YouTube Reporting API, with read-only permissions, it reads our own channels’ public video details and their analytics reports, such as views, watch time, audience retention and subscriber counts. Analytics reports are aggregated and do not identify individual viewers.
- How it uses the data. Only to measure how our videos perform and to decide what to make next.
- Storage. Access tokens and report data are stored on Kuriova’s own server, with tokens kept in encrypted form. Report data is kept while it is useful for comparing our videos over time.
- Sharing. We do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to develop, improve or train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models.
- Kuriova Ops’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Kuriova Ops uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s privacy policy applies. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page.
